West Bromwich Albion Treat for One of our Patient Group

At our Ball in November our guests were given the opportunity to bid for 2 corporate hospitality tickets for the West Bromwich Albion versus Burnley game on Saturday 31st March, one of our generous supporters successfully bid for the tickets, but unfortunately due to a diary clash was unable to attend the game.  Rather than ask us for a refund, he generously donated the tickets back to us to be used by a genuine fan who supported the charity.

Loretta, a patient, regular volunteer and member of our Friends of Get A-Head group fitted that bill and was really happy to have received the donation.

Loretta said: “I was lucky enough to be given 2 seats in the Cyrille Regis suite (ex players lounge) at West Bromwich Albion for the Burnley game, as a fan and season ticket holder it was a wonderful experience. I decided to take my son, Sam, who had just had a baby with his girlfriend, as a treat. We were given a meal and as much to  drink as we wanted. I made sure they all new about our wonderful charity and gave out our business cards, the lovely Geoff Hamilton and his partner were very interested and helpful. We sat in a box to watch the game (however we had to be rather more quiet than our usual Smethwick end) and had a marvellous view of the game. Thank you for thinking of me 💜

Sam said: “thank you for the experience of a box and for allowing me to go. It was amazing to see things from a different point of view and to look down at my empty seat 😀”
