Barclays Biker's 1

57 miles and 3077ft of elevation

You will remember a team of  guys from Barclays Trade:  Phil Shepher, Keith Honniball and Dan Leesset, all set about donning their lycra, heading off the country side and grinding out a combined 180 miles for the Get A-Head charity on 20th October.

The ride began at Cannock Chase heading through the National Forest, up to Uttoxeter and back to Cannock. They grinded out  >2500ft of elevation and took on a series of steep climbs with the worst averaging 11 – 12% gradient (probably second gear in a car!!) called Buttermilk Hill.

Well…….. Drum roll please……. They did it!…… What a fantastic acheivement, and we at Get A-Head salute you and are truly greatful for all of your hard work and determination: Please read the words of the guys below,

We did it and we finished together in 3hrs 50 mins (including the 30mins we spent eating in the free feed stations and helping a fellow cyclist with a mechanical problem)

Thanks for the support and sponsorship, it really motivated us and made it a special day.

Please get involved with the other charity events for Get Ahead and please don’t lose sight of what a great cause we are supporting.

 Dan, Keith and Phil
