Birmingham central based gym and spa, ‘theclubandspa’ in The Cube has announced that Get A-Head will be their annual charity of the year for this coming year.

The charity was picked due to the close links the theclubandspa have with the our goals and values. Tom Horton, General Manager of theclubandspa, had this to say about the partnership;

“We picked Get A-Head as people who suffer from head and neck disease, are sometimes affected by their treatments.  At theclubandspa, we help people to stay healthy, whilst also providing that ‘feel good factor’.  The concept of the ‘feel good factor’ is a value that we hold very dear here at theclubandspa and understand it means very different things to different people.  Teaming up with a charity that allows people the chance to take charge of this very topic, I feel is a perfect fit.  We would like to help patients in any way we can to help them achieve that ‘feel good factor’ by raising vital funds and providing support where possible”.

The gym and spa are currently putting plans in place to set up exclusive spa day offers for patients and their friends, which will provide a welcome break for them during their treatments.

Fundraising plans are also in motion at theclubandspa, as a team of staff members will be taking part in the Midlands Tough Mudder in order to raise funds for us.  The event is a 10-mile muddy assault course at Belvoir Castle, Grantham.  The clubandspa team will take on the gruelling challenge on 22nd May.

Anne-Marie Patrick, Charity Administrator at Get A-Head, said;

“We are really excited about the plans that we have in motion and can’t wait to see what the next year brings with this fantastic new partnership.  The team at theclubandspa are extremely enthusiastic and we’re thrilled to be partnered with them for the next year.”
