Carrie said :  “I decided to hold a fundraiser after my Dad’s successful treatment for throat Cancer 3 years ago, to show my gratitude to the people and organisations who provide so much help and support to families like ours.

The ball was held at Trunkwell House in Berkshire. We had 90 guest attend on the evening and enjoyed a lovely 3 course dinner, with plenty of dancing after a raffle and auction. We were very lucky to have many generous donations for the prizes such as signed Scotland rugby shirts, Antony Worrall Thompson meal, signed books from Holly Webb, big cash prizes from local electrician Aaron Smart, food processor from Tefal and many, many more.

The proceeds from the evening were split between Get A-Head and the Royal Berkshire Cancer Centre.”

Anne-Marie, from Get A-Head, said: “Thanks to Carrie and her guests for their wonderful fundraising event.  It’s thanks to all our fundraisers that we can continue our work for Head & Neck patients”
