Henley to Henley Cycle Ride

Henley Cycle Team

All the Trustees and Staff at Get A-Head would like to thank Andy Gallon, George Jennings and their team of cyclists for their hard-work and effort in completing the Henley to Henley Cycle Ride they undertake each year, to raise funds for Get A-Head in memory of Andy’s father, Dave.

The team started their fundraising in 2013 when a team of 15 cyclists decided to cycle from Henley-on-Thames to Henley-in-Arden, a distance of 110 miles.  They completed the route over the course of 2 days as the cyclists were all of differing abilities and they wanted to keep a more relaxed feel to the event, rather than it feel like the Tour De France!!

The team obviously loved the challenge so much that 6 of them decided to complete it again this year, and they are already starting to plan the event for 2015!  Andy said: “We would like to thank all our friends and family for all the help and support, and also thank Cab Studios for sponsoring our cycling jerseys.”

To date they team have raised over £3,300, which is a fantastic amount.

George said: “We chose to raise funds for  Get A-Head as they were instrumental in doing their very best to make Dave’s life less painful before he bravely passed away.  This is a charity which not only helped Dave, but also some of his friends and family.”

If you would llike to sponsor the team please visit their Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/davidgallon-henley-to-henley2013/
