Legion Events Rugby Dinner

Legion Events Rugby DinnerA wonderful evening was had by all that attended the Legion Events intimate Rugby Dinner with Geordan Murphy and Leon Lloyd on Friday 4th October.

We received a warm welcome from St.Paul’s gentleman’s club, where we learnt the rules of the club, and what would get us an entry into the book! No talking business at the table, no mobile phones and we must obey the gavel!  There was good food, a great atmosphere and a fun and interactive Q & A session with the Rugby legends, which bought tales of Leon and ‘his’ luxury boat, and Geordan’s alleged nick name, The Pencil, due to his slim frame.

John Watkinson spoke on behalf of the Get A-Head Charity and thanked all those who bought raffle tickets to support the Charity on the evening, a healthy total of £340 was raised.

The night came to a close with cheese and biscuits and an ever lasting bottle of port.

A huge thank you to Joanne Maling, who championed Get A-Head as the Charity of the evening. We hope to be invited to join you again in the future.
