Calling all runners! It’s now time to think about booking your place for the Great Birmingham Run.

Running Picture

The run, which takes place on Sunday 16th October, starts and finishes in Birmingham City Centre. Get A-Head runners will travel the route that takes in iconic landmarks such as Cadbury’s, Edgbaston Cricket Ground and Cannon Hill Park, in order to raise money for the fight against all head and neck disease.

When you register to take part you’ll receive training hints and tips and a charity running top. We have partnered up the QEHB Charity, so that on the day there will be supporters at cheering stations around the route and, most importantly, you’ll have access to the post race reception at the Hyatt Hotel next to the finish line where you can meet up with friends and family and enjoy a post race massage.

To guarantee your place please download the application form here and send the completed form to the office, alternatively email getaheadcharity@uhb.nhs.uk and we’ll send you an application form.  Registration for the event is free, all we ask is that you pledge to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.

Once we receive your form we will send you sponsorship forms, fundraising posters and links to setting up an online fundraising page, so you can let everyone know about your run. If you have booked your place direct with the organisers you can still raise funds for Get A-Head, set up a Just Giving page by visiting www.justgiving.com/getahead/

Alternatively, you can contact Anne-Marie on 0121 371 5046.

We’ve teamed up with Realbuzz to give you the very best training support and advice for your event, which can be downloaded here.
