On Sunday 21st June Luke Mason, Matt Thomson, Tommy Richards and Joe Smyth took on the London to Brighton Cycle Ride to raise funds for Get A-Head and the British Heart Foundation.

Luke says: “We set off at 6.30am from Clapham Common (London) and rode 54 miles to Brighton seafront. We only stopped a couple of times for about ten minutes to re-fuel. Over 28,000 people participated in the event.

We are pleased to report that we finished the ride in  just under 4 hours 15 minutes which we were all really pleased with. We also managed to climb the famous Ditchling Beacon without walking which was a fantastic achievement, considering we have only just got into cycling.”

So far they have raised over £1,300 for the Get A-Head ACC Research fund in memory of Luke’s cousin, Anne Aurousseau, but there is still time to sponsor them at https://www.justgiving.com/Luke-Mason4/.
