Run the London Marathon for Get-A Head and make a difference

Did you miss out on the London Marathon ballot? Don’t worry – you can still run the iconic event, while doing your bit to help people with head and neck conditions live a better life.

Get A-Head has one charity place left for next year’s TCS London Marathon, when around 50,000 elite athletes, club runners and first-time novices will pack the streets of London for a festival of sport, music and community.

Tom Bromwich, chairman of Get A-Head, said: “A record half a million hopefuls entered the ballot for next year’s event, so most will have missed out on a place. In return for fundraising for Get A-Head, we can offer one more person the chance to take part.

“We have just one place left on our team so contact us now to find out what’s involved.”

Get A-Head is based in the Midlands and supports people living with head and neck conditions, especially cancer, and their families and carers. The charity funds research into treatments and prevention of head and neck diseases, pays for life-enhancing equipment and complementary therapies for patients, and supports further training and education for healthcare professionals.

The TCS London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet – since it began in 1981, participants have raised more than £1billion for good causes. Why not add to this amazing figure by running the TCS London Marathon for Get A-Head?
