Shooting and champagne to celebrate 30 years of Get A-Head fundraising

Whether you prefer the great outdoors or glitzed-up glamour, Get A-Head’s 30th anniversary provides the perfect chance to have fun while improving the lives of people with head and neck conditions like cancer.

Our charity clay shoot challenge this year takes place on Tuesday June 11 at the prestigious Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds in Northwood, Middlesex. Entry is £2,000 for teams of four and includes breakfast, a full day shooting and a sumptuous luncheon.

Last year’s event, attended by England rugby World Cup winners Lawrence Dallaglio and Will Greenwood, raised a stunning £28,000.

If shooting isn’t your scene, put on your gladrags and join us at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on November 23 for our 30th anniversary celebration ball.

If you’ve not been to one of our celebratory balls before, you won’t be disappointed. There will be dancing, live music, DJ, charity auction and food aplenty with a three-course evening meal and bacon butties at midnight.

We’ll be welcoming the super talented The RPJ Band to our event – an energetic five-piece band made up of some of the UK’s top session musicians including vocalist Rick Parfitt Junior – the son of the late Rick Parfitt of Status Quo fame – so dancing shoes are an absolute must.

Helping us to improve the lives of people with head and neck conditions by funding research, paying for specialist education for healthcare professionals, supplying life-changing equipment and providing complementary therapies to soften the effects of harsh treatments.
