Cost of Living Fund Available 5th January

Get A-Head is delighted to announce a Cost of Living Fund: we will provide grants of £150 per person, for patients with head and neck cancer to support with the added cost of living that comes with a cancer diagnosis.

To receive this grant, please complete this form from 5th January. The form will be available in January, in our “Grants” section of the website.

Process

Applications will open from 5th January 2026 until the pot is depleted.

We will review on a first come first served basis.

1. From 9am on 5th January 2026, you are welcome to complete application form

2. We will acknowledge receipt within one working week

3. Expect a decision in 10 working days

4. All applicants will be informed of the outcome via email

Terms:

· One grant per family.

· Grants cannot be applied for retrospectively.

· Patients must be residents in England or Wales.

· We can only accept applications from those 18 years old or above,

· You must provide proof of a Head or Neck cancer diagnosis to receive this grant

· Upon grant acceptance, you will receive grant funding within 21 days.

· Upon application, your email will be added to our mail list; which you can opt out of at any time. We only send emails every 1-2 months.

Applications will only be assessed if –

· All parts of the application form are fully completed

· There are funds remaining within the Get Ahead Cost of Living – Head and Neck Cancer Fund (total pot: £10,000)

You can apply for grants to cover a whole range of needs, including:

· Car repairs/maintenance

· Cost of food

· Day trips

· Energy bills

· Hospital travel

· Reduced income

· White goods/furniture

· Other

We are aware that other charities have pulled their funding for this, and our thoughts are with anyone really struggling at this time of year. We look forward to receiving applications and giving these grants to patients very soon.
